NFL preseason 2022 NFL Power Rankings

The NFL preseason is finally underway, and with it comes the usual power rankings. Who’s at the top this year? Who’s looking good in preseason play? Let’s take a look and see who made our list.

Top Teams

1. The top teams in the NFL preseason are the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks.

2. The Patriots have beaten the Seahawks twice in the preseason, but both games were close.

3. Both teams have several key players who are injured, so their performances in the preseason may not be indicative of what they will do when the regular season starts.

4. The Patriots and Seahawks are considered to be the front-runners for the title this year.

Top Players

The NFL preseason is finally here, and with it comes the opportunity to see which teams will be contenders in the upcoming season. As always, there are a few players who stand out above the rest.

One player who has been incredibly impressive thus far is New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees. He has led his team to wins in both of their games so far and has looked like a true MVP candidate. Brees has shown off pinpoint accuracy and an ability to make all the throws, no matter the situation. He is already one of the best players in the league, and he is only getting better as the preseason progresses.

Another player who has been incredible thus far is Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr. He has led his team to two wins so far and has displayed incredible composure under pressure. Carr has not had an easy time against inferior opponents, but he has still managed to shine. If he can keep up this level of play throughout the entire preseason, he will be a tough opponent for anyone come September.

Meanwhile, other star players include Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant, and Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. All of these players are potential MVP candidates if

Winners and Losers of the NFL Preseason

The NFL preseason is always a busy time, as teams try to finalize their roster and get ready for the regular season. Here are the winners and losers of the NFL preseason so far:

Winners

The Dallas Cowboys are off to a great start, having won all four of their games so far. This is thanks in part to the stellar play from Dak Prescott, who has looked like a MVP candidate. The Cowboys are also benefitting from the addition of rookie RB Ezekiel Elliott, who has been unstoppable so far.

Losers

The Cleveland Browns have been disasterous so far. Their only win came against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who were without their starting quarterback. Their other three losses have come against teams that will be much tougher in the regular season. The Browns will need to improve if they want to make the playoffs this year.

Overall, the NFL preseason has been fairly predictable thus far. There have been a few surprise teams (the Cowboys and Browns), but the majority of teams have played pretty well. We can only wait until Week 1 to see which teams truly stand out from the rest.

New England Patriots

The New England Patriots are currently the number one team in the NFL Gmae preseason power rankings. The Patriots have been dominant in their first two preseason games, defeating the Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills by a combined score of 44-7. Tom Brady has looked sharp and is throwing for over 400 yards both times.

The Patriots have a number of key players back from last year, including Brandin Cooks, who was the recipient of the 2017 AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Cooks will be counted on to provide much-needed firepower for Brady and the rest of the offense. New England also added some new faces in free agency, including Brandon Browner and Eric Lee. Browner is a physical corner who can cause problems for opposing receivers, while Lee should provide depth at linebacker.

The Patriots look poised to continue their dominance at the top of the NFL preseason power rankings.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are the number one team in the NFL preseason power rankings. They were dominant in their first two games of the preseason and look poised to make a run at the Super Bowl this year.

The Eagles have a talented roster that includes stars like Carson Wentz, Nick Foles, and Alshon Jeffery. Wentz was the number one pick in the 2016 draft and is expected to be a front-runner for the MVP award this season. Foles was signed as a free agent this offseason and is expected to take over as the starting quarterback once Wentz is ready to return from injury. Jeffery is one of the best wide receivers in the league and has been quietly productive during his time with Philadelphia.

The Eagles have plenty of other talented players on their roster, including Jordan Matthews, Jay Ajayi, Corey Clement, and Zach Ertz. This team looks ready to challenge for the Super Bowl this year and could easily win it if they continue to play at their current level.

Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams are currently ranked number one in the NFL preseason power rankings. This is largely due to the fact that they have a very experienced and talented roster. They are led by quarterback Jared Goff, who was drafted first overall in the 2016 NFL draft. Goff has played for the Rams for two seasons now and has had success both as a starting quarterback and backup. The other key players on the Rams’ roster include running backs Todd Gurley and C.J. Anderson, receivers Brandin Cooks and Robert Woods, and defensive linemen Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh. The Rams are scheduled to play their first preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts on August 9th.

Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears are the number one team in the NFL preseason power rankings. The team is led by new head coach Matt Nagy, who had a successful tenure with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Bears have a talented roster that includes star players like quarterback Mitchell Trubisky and defensive end Khalil Mack. Trubisky took over as the starting quarterback after the retirement of Jay Cutler, and he is looking to prove himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the league.

The Bears will face off against the Arizona Cardinals in their first game of the preseason, and they are confident that they can win. They are hoping to build on their success from last season, when they made it to the NFC Championship Game.

Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers are the number one team in the NFL preseason power rankings. This is because they have a very strong roster and are led by one of the best quarterbacks in the league, Aaron Rodgers.

The Packers have won four out of the past five NFC championships and they are expected to be contenders this season as well. Rodgers is one of the best QBs in history and he will be looking to lead his team to another title this year. Along with him, the Packers have a talented receiving corps that includes Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, and Davante Adams. They also have a solid defensive unit that should be able to stop most teams from scoring points.

The only reason the Packers are not number one on this list is because they play in an extremely tough division – the NFC North. However, with all their talent, it is hard to see them not winning at least one or two more games this season.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs are currently ranked first in the NFL preseason power rankings. The Chiefs were able to win all of their preseason games by a wide margin, and their offense is led by superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes has already shown why he is one of the best quarterbacks in the league, and he will only get better as the season goes on.

Mahomes will be able to rely on his talented receivers, including Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. These receivers are both dangerous deep threats, and they will be able to stretch the defense. Additionally, the Chiefs defense is stacked with talent, and they should be able to stop most offenses.

The Chiefs have a very good chance of winning the Super Bowl this year, and they are definitely one of the best teams in the NFL.

Oakland Raiders

The Oakland Raiders are currently ranked #1 in the NFL preseason power rankings. This is thanks to their impressive record so far this season.

The Raiders have won all of their games so far this preseason, including a victory over the Seattle Seahawks. This performance has earned them a spot at the top of the league table.

This dominance of the Raiders will be key if they are to make it through to the NFL playoffs. If they can keep up their winning streak, they may well make it all the way to the Super Bowl.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are ranked first in the NFL preseason power rankings. The team is led by quarterback Jameis Winston, who was the No. 1 pick in the 2015 NFL Draft. Winston had a strong performance in the preseason opener against the Miami Dolphins, throwing for 302 yards and four touchdowns.

The Buccaneers also have a stable of talented receivers, including Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson. Evans led the NFL with 1,849 receiving yards last season and Jackson is one of the most explosive players in the league. The Buccaneers are expected to make a deep run in the playoffs this year.

New Orleans Saints

The New Orleans Saints are currently ranked first in the NFL preseason power rankings. This is largely due to the return of quarterback Drew Brees. Brees has led the Saints to a 5-1 record thus far and is looking to lead the team back to the Super Bowl.

Other teams that have impressed thus far include the Arizona Cardinals and Pittsburgh Steelers. The Cardinals have won two games, including a dominant victory over the Houston Texans. Meanwhile, the Steelers are undefeated and currently rank second in the league. They narrowly lost to the New England Patriots in their last game, but look poised to compete for a top spot in the NFL this season.

Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions have started the preseason off with a bang, beating the Indianapolis Colts by a score of 24-10. The Lions have looked impressive so far, and are currently ranked number one in the NFL Power Rankings.

Detroit has been considered the underdog going into this season, but they have proved everyone wrong thus far. With players like Ezekiel Ansah and Reggie Bush in the lineup, it is hard to see them losing any more games this preseason.

The New England Patriots

The New England Patriots have dominated the NFL preseason, leading all teams in points scored (50) and yards gained (695). It’s no surprise that they are ranked first on this week’s NFL power rankings.

The Patriots’ offense is led by quarterback Tom Brady, who is one of the best quarterbacks in the league. He has a strong connection with receiver Julian Edelman, who has caught 13 passes for 232 yards and two touchdowns so far this preseason.

The Patriots defense is also strong, led by linebacker Dont’a Hightower and defensive end Chandler Jones. They have been able to stop opponents from scoring touchdowns and gaining yards on the ground.

It will be interesting to see how the other teams fare in the rest of the preseason, but for now, it looks like the New England Patriots are going to be a force to be reckoned with in the NFL this season.

The Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams are currently ranked first in the NFL preseason power rankings. This is a huge accomplishment for the team, as they were not expected to do very well this season.

However, the Rams have had some big injuries recently, and they will need all of their players to be on their game if they want to make it to the playoffs. They have a tough schedule ahead of them, including games against the Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, and Oakland Raiders.

If the Rams can make it through these games unscathed, they will be a serious threat to win the Super Bowl this season.

The Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles are ranked first in this week’s NFL Power Rankings. This is due to the fact that they have a very impressive record in preseason play. They have won all four of their games so far, by a total of 63 points. Their opponents in these games have been mostly low-level teams, so it’s safe to say that the real competition will start after the preseason is over.

However, even though they’re ranked first, don’t expect them to stay there for long. The NFL is a highly competitive league, and any team can rise to the top if they perform well. The Eagles will face some stiff competition from other teams in their division and conference this season.

The Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs are the number one team in the NFL preseason power rankings. This is largely due to the return of quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes was traded to the Chiefs this offseason and is looking to lead the team to another championship. He has the potential to be one of the best quarterbacks in the league, and he will be led by a strong offensive line.

Mahomes will have plenty of help from his receivers, including Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins. Hill is one of the most dangerous receivers in the league, and Watkins is a top-tier receiver. The Chiefs also have a strong defense that should be able to stop other teams from scoring points.

The Oakland Raiders are ranked second in the preseason power rankings. They were one of the most successful teams last season, but they might not be as strong this year. Oakland lost a lot of key players over the offseason, including Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper. The Raiders hope that they can compete without these stars, but it will likely be difficult.

The Chicago Bears are ranked third in the preseason power rankings. They lost their starting quarterback this offseason, so it will be difficult for them to perform well this season. The Bears also have

The Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers are the clear #1 team in the NFL preseason power rankings.

This is no surprise, as the Packers have been one of the most dominant teams in the league for years now. They cruised to a victory in their opening game of the preseason, and their players seem to be clicking on all cylinders.

Meanwhile, other teams are still trying to figure out their rotations and strategies. Some of them may be better in the long run, but right now it’s hard to tell. The Packers are just too good.

The Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are currently ranked first in the NFL preseason power rankings. This is a big accomplishment for the team, as they have had some difficult times in recent years.

The Cowboys have made several big signings in the past year or so, including the acquisition of quarterback Dak Prescott from the Arizona Cardinals. Prescott has looked very good in the preseason and is likely to be the starter for Dallas this season.

The Cowboys also have a strong offensive line, which should help him stay safe in the pocket. They also have a number of weapons on their offense, including wide receivers Dez Bryant and Terrance Williams, running back Ezekiel Elliott, and tight end Jason Witten.

Overall, the Cowboys look like a strong contender this season and could easily make it to the playoffs.

The Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills are ranked first in the NFL preseason power rankings. This is due to their excellent roster and coaching staff. The Bills have a lot of young talent that is primed for big things in 2018.

Buffalo’s quarterback, Josh Allen, is a talented player who has the potential to be one of the best in the league. Allen has shown flashes of brilliance during his career, and he will only get better as he matures. The Bills also have an excellent defense, led by defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier. The Bills are a team that should be considered among the favorites to make it to the Super Bowl this season.

The Oakland Raiders

The Oakland Raiders are currently ranked number one in the NFL preseason power rankings. This is a big improvement from last year, when they were ranked last.

The Raiders reasons for this improvement are twofold. First, they have new head coach Jack Del Rio at the helm. He has experience leading successful teams in the NFL and should be able to help the Raiders take their game to the next level. Second, they have a very talented roster. Their star players include Khalil Mack, Amari Cooper, and Derek Carr. These players are sure to draw attention from other teams, which will make it difficult for opponents to score against them.

Overall, the Oakland Raiders are looking like favorites to win the Super Bowl this year. They have all the ingredients necessary for success, and we can expect them to perform well in the NFL preseason power rankings as a result.

The Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars are taking on the New England Patriots in the first game of the NFL preseason. This is a huge matchup, as the two teams have met in the playoffs each of the past two years.

The Jags are coming into this season with high expectations, and they have started off strong. They are currently ranked first in the power rankings, and they are a favorite to win the Super Bowl this year.

This season will be very important for the Jags, as they aim to show that they are a top team in the NFL. They will need to play well in their preseason games if they want to continue winning championships.

The Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons are sitting at the top of the NFL preseason power rankings. This is mainly due to their strong performance in the preseason so far. The Falcons have won all three of their preseason games by a combined score of 109-56. This has helped them move up the rankings and into first place.

The Falcons have a lot of talent on their roster, including quarterback Matt Ryan and receiver Julio Jones. These two players are key contributors to the team’s success. Ryan is having a great season, with a completion percentage of 71% and 3,327 yards passing. Jones is also having a great year, with 851 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.

The team’s defense is also very strong. They have allowed only 298 total yards in their three preseason games so far. This has helped them keep opponents to low scoring games and stay atop the power rankings.

Looking forward, the Falcons are ready to compete for a spot in the Super Bowl this year. They will need to continue their strong performance in the preseason and hope that they can make it all the way to the playoffs.

Who is in the Running for the Playoffs?

The New England Patriots are usually considered the team to beat in the NFL, but they have had some trouble recently. This includes their loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC Championship Game. However, they still have one of the best rosters in the league and should be considered a contender for a playoff spot.

Another team expected to make a run at the playoffs this year is the Philadelphia Eagles. They made some big changes this offseason by trading away star quarterback Carson Wentz and acquiring Nick Foles from the Rams. Foles should be an upgrade and should help them contend for a playoff spot.

The Los Angeles Chargers are another team that is expected to make a run at making it to the playoffs this year. They signed quarterback Philip Rivers in free agency and drafted running back Melvin Gordon in the first round of the draft. If they can get both players on track, they should be able to contend for a playoff spot.

There are many other teams that could make a run at making it to the playoffs this
